About the team at Authentic Mexico Tours

We are a small group of tourism professionals, with 60+ years of combined experience making travel memories, checking bucket list items, and making dreams come true. Whether you want to take a short, one day tour or a multi-day, customized itinerary that will take you around, we promise our professionalism, dedication and knowledge of the authentic side of Mexico will leave you in awe. Live it to believe it, indeed. Our past experience includes trip planning, operations and management positions at Expedia, TUI, RIU Hotels, and other nation-wide and international companies, which has helped us forge relationships that transcend time and geography.

The Founders

Authentic Mexico Tours was founded by Alex Vizcaino and Paulina Alpuche, who manage every aspect of the business. Their shared love of Mexico’s culture, music and gastronomy, coupled with years of traveling all corners around Mexico, make them the perfect team to lead the project.

Alex loves smaller towns and charming little hotels, and enjoys spending time close to nature. He is usually on the business development side of things, preparing itineraries, getting in touch with tour operators, and sending out proposals.

Paulina thrives in Mexico’s big cities, dancing to Mexican rhythms, and cooking amazingly delicious Mexican dishes. She keeps a keen eye on everything financial, and is always looking for the next spot for a relaxing stay, or an incredible meal.
